POSITION SUMMARIES

Propane Branch Manager

OCCUPATION SUMMARY:

This is a challenging position that will require an ambitious, hard-working, self-motivated person, who will be responsible for making their operating retail location successful, both operationally and financially. 

The successful individual will know how to build a solid team, grow market share, control costs, improve margins, deliver customer service, and develop customer loyalty.

The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of Operations Management, Routing and Scheduling, Distribution, Personnel Management, Sales, Propane Service and Installation, and Customer Service.

This role will include full P&L responsibility, budgeting, and establishing an annual business plan.

Provide leadership consistent with company values by hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

• Develop a unified working relationship with the branch operations personnel focusing on customer service as a TOP priority
• Develop a growth action plan for retail location.
• Establish relationships with prospective customers using various prospecting techniques.
• Promote company name to professional and trade organizations including, homebuilder associations, real estate agencies, chamber of commerce and existing customers

Provides general supervision of all work being done, ensuring safety and quality of work. Oversee product distribution to residential and commercial customers, product inventory and storage, sales, billing, equipment inventory, personnel, and customer service activities of the office.

Enforce safety policies and procedures by conducting safety meetings and ensuring DOT guidelines, laws and regulations/codes are followed and appropriate PPE always worn.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience

Experience: Minimum of three years business and/or operational experience required. Delivery, sales, and general management experience desired. Propane and/or oil operations experience preferred.

Service & Installation Technician

OCCUPATION SUMMARY:

Performs responsible skilled mechanical work in the installation, repair and maintenance of propane and natural gas fired equipment; does related work as required and does all work in the most efficient, effective and safe manner possible.  The service and installation personnel are responsible for the public and professional image of the company. Perform all installation and service duties and assigned tasks as directed by management.

Installation and service technicians are responsible for the safe installation, service and repair of appliances including; conventional and tankless water heaters, gas logs, prefabricated fireplaces (direct vent and vent free), unit heaters, space heaters, ranges and ductless furnaces. Installation, service and repair of interior and exterior gas systems including high pressure and low-pressure piping. Work requires entrance into crawlspaces and rooftops. Work requires use of and not limited to the following tools; shovel, trencher, hammer drill, core drill, reciprocating saw, drill, press tool, pipe threader, crane truck, digital monometer and multimeter, etc…

Technician must operate service vehicles on specified route in a safe manner and in accordance with all motor vehicle laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.  Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required. Class B CDL license with Hazmat endorsement is preferred.

Review daily work orders with equipment and maintenance personnel in order to service and install customer requests in the most efficient, effective and safe manner.

Complete work orders and all necessary documentation in a complete, accurate, and legible manner for each task performed.  Account for all labor, parts and appliances to ensure accurate inventories and correct customer billings. Work to identify tasks to maintain productivity for all hours paid.

Interpret and apply written instructions, job drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and blueprints specific to installation jobs.

Delivery Driver

OCCUPATION SUMMARY:
Performs responsible delivery services from the company storage tanks to the customer’s on-site tank; does related work as required and does all work in the most efficient, effective and safe manner possible. The delivery driver personnel are responsible for the public and professional image of the company.

Work is performed under regular supervision of designated supervisor.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Deliver correct customer product following company procedures to the correct tank charging the correct price
    including all applicable delivery charges to ensure accurate inventories and correct customer billing.
  • Operate vehicle on specified route in a safe manner and in accordance with all motor vehicle laws, DOT
    regulations, and company policies. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as required.
  • Drive vehicle on specified route in a safe manner, observing DOT and company regulations.
  • Receive and follow dispatch orders in a safe and timely manner. Provide feedback to dispatcher regarding
    status of deliveries and assigned tasks to gain efficiencies. Work to identify tasks to maintain productivity for all
    hours paid.
  • Review daily deliveries by coordinating with dispatcher in order to deliver all customer requests in the most
    efficient, effective and safe manner.
  • Complete all necessary documentation in a complete, accurate and legible manner for each task performed,
    including delivery reports, trip reports, etc.
  • Use hand and power tools to perform various manual tasks.
  • Perform pressure tests and/or leak tests as required by code and/or policy.
  • Maintain vehicle and associated tools and equipment and other company facilities in a clean, workable manner
    and use according to procedures and policies.
  • Must be available to work overtime as scheduled. Have all overtime approved by supervisor.
  • Ensure that all tasks comply with all company policies, safety procedures and federal, state and local codes and
    regulations.
  • Review and propose revisions to all procedures to ensure they are efficient, effective and safe.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all company personnel in order to complete job tasks.

Transport Driver

Customer Service Representative

OCCUPATION SUMMARY:
Performs responsible clerical and administrative work to provide excellent customer service as the company’s main point of contact to customers. The customer service personnel are responsible for the public and professional image of the company.

ESSENTIAL TASKS:

  • Receive customer inquiries by telephone, mail or in person and initiate response personally. 
  • Assist customers in establishing new accounts, closing or transferring accounts and answering questions regarding accounts, service, and sales.
  • Respond to customer inquiries including, but not limited to, pricing, billing, documenting complaints and setting up new orders. 
  • Perform routine clerical, payment posting and other data entry procedures. 
  • Handle incoming calls and utilize a proactive approach with every customer interaction to discover additional sales and services opportunities. 
  • Maintain company equipment in working order and use according to procedures. 
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of company products and services, customer account and billing processes, new customer information, and various policies and procedures related to product delivery and service.
